Acceptance of Terms
By downloading or using Kapsul, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, please don't use the app. These terms apply to everyone who uses Kapsul, hosts and guests alike.
Description of the Service
Kapsul is a shared disposable camera. A host creates a Film for an event; guests join with a QR or 6 digit code and capture a limited number of photos. Photos stay hidden until the Film is revealed, after which members can view, like, and comment on them.
Accounts & Eligibility
You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep your credentials secure. You're responsible for activity on your account. You must be at least 13 years old to use Kapsul.
Your Content & Photos
You retain ownership of the photos and content you create. By using Kapsul, you grant us a limited license to store and display your content as needed to operate the service (for example, to show your photos to members of your Film after the reveal). You're responsible for the content you capture and share, and you confirm you have the right to share it.
Acceptable Use
- Don't upload illegal, harmful, hateful, or infringing content.
- Don't harass other members or violate anyone's privacy.
- Don't attempt to disrupt, reverse engineer, or abuse the service.
- Hosts may remove guests; repeated removals can block a guest from rejoining a Film.
Purchases & Capacity Upgrades
Films with up to 5 guests are free. Larger guest capacities are available as one time purchases for a single Film, there are no subscriptions. Purchases are processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play and are subject to their terms. Except where required by law, purchases are nonrefundable.
Intellectual Property
The Kapsul name, logo, app, and design are owned by Kapsul and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy or use them without permission. These terms don't grant you any rights to our branding.
Termination
You may stop using Kapsul at any time and delete your account. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these terms or use the service in a way that harms others or Kapsul.
Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability
Kapsul is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Kapsul is not liable for indirect or incidental damages, or for loss of content. We work hard to keep your memories safe but cannot guarantee uninterrupted or error free service.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We'll revise the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, notify you in the app. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated terms.
