Introduction

Welcome to Kapsul. Your memories matter, and so does your privacy. Kapsul is a shared disposable camera for groups, a host creates a Film, guests join with a QR or 6 digit code, and everyone's photos are revealed together at one moment. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using Kapsul, you agree to the practices described here.

Information We Collect

• Account information. When you create an account we collect your name, email address, and (optionally) a profile photo or avatar color.
• Films & photos. When you create or join a Film, we store the Film's details (name, schedule, cover, settings), the photos you capture, and the likes and comments you add.
• Device & usage data. We collect basic technical data such as device type, app version, and diagnostic logs to keep the app reliable.

How We Use It

We use your information to operate Kapsul: to create and run your Films, deliver the synchronized reveal, send notifications (a guest joined, a Film went live, photos are ready), and keep the service secure. We do not sell your personal information.

Photos & Shared Films

Photos you take in a Film are private until the Film is revealed. After reveal, your photos are visible to the host and the guests of that Film, who can like and comment on them. The host controls the Film's capacity and may remove guests. Only people with the Film's join code (or who the host invites) can join.

How We Share Information

We share information only with the service providers that help us run Kapsul, for example, cloud hosting and storage, authentication, and payment processing, and only as needed to provide the service. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users.

Storage & Security

Your data is stored with industry standard hosting and protected with encryption in transit. We restrict access to personal data and take reasonable measures to safeguard it. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your memories.

Your Rights & Choices

• Access and update your profile information at any time in the app.
• Delete a notification, leave a Film, or delete a Film you host.
• Request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us.

Children's Privacy

Kapsul is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will remove it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll revise the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, notify you in the app.
